VQ3 is the original Q3 physics, this is only used in DeFrag, mod, where you can choose between VQ3 mode and CPM. In CPMA or in CPM physics some things are different, and there's a small difference..... so people make maps for VQ3 runs and CPM runs too, but they say VQ3 physics are the shit , cause it's harder a little, like in strafing. In cpma you can strafe and move smoothly , like you can go around corners without breaking your strafing and loosing speed, or you can strafe without pushing forward key etc. etc. CPM is very good, and i love it cause i loved playing in CPM run maps , cause it's good, makes me calm and i loved it
Well you should go and try it out yourself. And as for me, im trying to get used to this slowrail style and train myself, cause my playing style is more like rushing, and i have to be more calm, and be tricky, like in old Mongolian Champship

if you want to try out cpm physics just go to para tricks and write /callvote vstr promodeon (so you dont have to download everything to try it) it's slightly different than in 1.32 but then you get the feeling how its different from normal vq3 also vq3 is slightly different in 1.16 than in 1.32, plasma splash damage is 15 in 1.16 and 16 in 1.32 so you can climb harder/further.
