Muh laptop

I think it's kind of broken, it's even slower than before and it has these short freezes whenever I'm doing something (mouse/cursor stops shortly and if I'm doing anything with sounds it goes bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzt in that time).
This happens every few seconds and is really fucking anoying, I only noticed it in quake before and thought it was just lag (and maybe it just was then) but it became much worse and probably the freezes just became longer so I started noticing them on the cursor in windows.
However I didn't notice the bzzzzzzt thing before which is very strange imo so it could just as well be something else entirely.

Anyway I'm not going to play on it anymore I don't want to start playing even worse than I already am now so I hope this is just a virus or w/e but I'm afraid it's some issue with the laptop itself and if that's the case it will take a while before I can replace it.

If anyone has any idea what the problem might be that would be great.

yeah, you can always try reinstalling windows, it worked for me like a week ago. i also had some lag like freezes every 30 seconds or so, and then i reinstalled it and works like charm. although, it was only for quake, i didnt have any freezes with anything else. but laptop was really really slow, so it got fixed with reinstalling. stupid windows is braking itself doing some stupid shit in the background.

i had this problem with my laptop too when it froze (only when there was sound involved) i couldnt move the mouse the sound would just bzzzzzzzzzzz everything was frozen and bzzzz'ing for a minute in my case then it would be fine

the 1st format the problem persisted

it was the 2nd format that did the job right dont know why

i think you need to clean your pc monitor from inside..here is manual how to do it at home. It takes time only few minutes and you are ready to go..it makes you asskick quaker as well!

Well it was my harddisk that was busted, I put one in I bought of a friend for little but he had a different brand of laptop as I did so a lot of functions won't work untill I put a fresh install on it.
And I have to wait with that until I have transfered 160gb of data he wants to retrieve to his laptop.

So until then I'l just be on the forum.
